Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) is the most widely used basic building material in civil engineering, but the energy consumption and environmental problems caused by cement production are becoming increasingly prominent.
It is estimated that the CO ₂ emissions from cement production account for about 5% -8% of global anthropogenic emissions, therefore developing low-carbon building materials to replace OPC is considered an effective way to reduce carbon emissions.
