On September 29th, a news from a research team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) caused a shock in the industry: their new type of electrically conductive carbon concrete (EC ³) has increased the energy storage density of concrete by 10 times, making the concept of “building as a battery” a reality.
The relevant research results were published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) in the United States.
